When downgrading the quality of a ghost entity with the upgrade planner because I don’t have the item in that rarity, an alert tells me the item is missing from the network even though it’s not. The alert disappears after ten seconds. This makes me think I’m actually missing the item, which makes me check if I have the item, which I do.
Example:
1. Place rare roboport ghost within the construction network.
2. The alert tells me I don’t have a rare roboport, which is true.
3. Use the upgrade planner to downgrade the rare roboport ghost to an uncommon roboport ghost.
4. The alert tells me I don’t have an uncommon roboport, which is false. The alert disappears after ten seconds.
I can’t remember this happening in 2.0.77, but I’m unsure of whether it did, so I can’t say for certain it’s a new bug.
[2.1.8] Incorrect missing item alert when downgrading a ghost’s quality
Re: [2.1.8] Incorrect missing item alert when downgrading a ghost’s quality
Thanks for the report however this is simply how alerts work. They are a notification at the time the engine finds an issue and do not retroactively update/cancel themselves if the issue has been resolved in the meantime.
Like getting an email that a game on steam went on sale - the email doesn't get un-sent when the sale ends.
