This is a super minor issue, but if you have no mods enabled (just Base mod) then the game loads quickly enough that the loading music/sound is still playing when the title music starts and they play over top of each other.
Ideally either the title music would interrupt the loading music, or it would be delayed until the loading music is finished. The title music is really good, it would be nice not to have the start of it ruined.

Thanks for the report however this is not a bug.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.
Re: [2.1.8] Loading music plays over title music
This is not what sound engineers intended for user to hear, nor what a user expects to hear (hence the report), so this is a bug.
This is not a bug on purely technical part of the road (you tell engine to play a stream - it doesn't crash, and mixes it properly), but the whole path from the intention to what_happens is not covered by just that. The solution would be simply putting loading intro on the same channel as background music with proper crossfade.

Re: [2.1.8] Loading music plays over title music
I'm curious on how this works inside, i know you can "mod" the title music but not the loading one, the title music requiring being "loaded as prototype", so i thought there must be 2 different moment when the music is loaded, and what does "loaded" means in this context ? i think you can either register the audio file on the disk for the program, like the background music, or decode it and store it in RAM/Audio buffer, more like UI sound. I don't know if it's relevant, i felt like the loading music was apart from the rest but obviously i don't have much informationsHarkonnen wrote: Sun Jun 28, 2026 12:39 am The solution would be simply putting loading intro on the same channel as background music with proper crossfade.
Check out my latest mod ! It's noisy !
Re: [2.1.8] Loading music plays over title music
The intro sound and the rest of the music are very much separate.
The intro sound is loaded and played before other sounds and before the music player is created.
And yes, ideally the intro sound and main menu music would transition nicely and it is possible to do, but it is such a minor thing I've never gotten around to doing it.
So technically not a bug, at most it's a minor issue.

Re: [2.1.8] Loading music plays over title music
Could be solved by mandatory 2-4 seconds on loading screen (even if it loads in 0.5sec), so at least factorio and wube logo are seen, and that primary vibe is heard before transition to (potentially modded) title screen
