Unfortunately, the entire Tips and Tricks menu seems to have been somewhat neglected over time, and the "final pass" for 2.1 seems like a good time to flesh it out and update it.
In my understanding, the entire point of the Tips and Tricks menu is to explain mechanics and features that are easily overlooked or normally wouldn't be discoverable by simply playing the game, or explaining complex topics that might seem unintuitive at first glance.
There are various nifty features that have been added in the last couple of versions, which don't have associated help pages. This makes them quite difficult to find for new players and often requires looking online or reading FFF's to know they even exist or how they work.
Namely:
- Alt-Rightclick to pin objects (such as vehicles)
- Inserter flipping and lane swapping (This should be explained in-depth since it will likely confuse and seem inconsistent to players that don't realise it only works with perpendicular belts)
- Platform-to-Platform transfers
- Pumps and Pipeline Extents
- Fluid Mixing Prevention
- Using the Factoriopedia (including Alt-Click)
- Chart tags and pings
- Explaining Beacon diminishing returns
- Lamp features (always on and colouring)
- Item Stacks (and stack inserters), since stacks can work a little unintuitively sometimes
- Inserter Filters
- Super Force Building
- Custom Minimum Payload and other rocket-related shenanigans
- Trigger Technologies
- Radar Channels (and surface vs universe). Also make sure to mention that radar signal transmission REQUIRES adequate power! This caught me off guard previously and I thought something was bugged with signal transmission, but I simply didn't have enough power.
- Fast Replacement
- Blueprint grid adjustment with CTRL+Arrows and SHIFT+Arrows
- Using Upgrade Planners and Deconstruction Planners
- Parameterised Blueprints (honestly, Blueprinting should be explained in more detail in general, there are no pages related to Blueprints)
- Circuit-controlled Research
- Spoilage should be explained properly, currently it's only casually mentioned in relation to the Agricultural Science Pack.
- Remote Driving
- Capturing biter nests
- Train Stop Priority
- The "Asteroid Defense" topic should be updated to use a platform that includes laser turrets, and explain turret target filtering, it currently implies you can get by with only gun turrets in space which is NOT the case.
- Using Remote View (extremely important for Space Age)
- Train Interrupts, including a sub-page for generic interrupts
- The Vulcanus briefing should have a sub-page explaining how Demolishers work, since their territory mechanic is unique
- Circuit Network page should have a subtopic about using different wires for inputs and outputs
- The "Quality" page should probably explain how to craft an item of a guaranteed quality using quality ingredients
- AFAIK there's also no topic that ever explains equipment grids and equipping/unequipping personal equipment
- More??

Re: Add missing Tips and Tricks
I was just looking for some info about fluids, throughput and pumping speed, but in-game the only information that can be found is that pumps have a pumping speed. Would love some tips and tricks about it, so getting info about the game is less dependent on the wiki.
