I noticed an oddity with the planet view system.
While it may not be that big a deal, are there any plans on doing something about the asteroids from the backdrop going behind the planets themselves? It becomes very strange to look at once noticed.
Normally this isn't a problem if just looking at a still image, but everything here moves. Given the speed of the asteroids and their size, it is fully implied they would be in the front of the planet. If they were far far slower, it'd make sense for them to go behind the planet. After all, objects further away from your perspective move slower than objects closer.
In actuality I don't think it can fixed easily unless the asteroids in the planet backdrops are just completely removed or they be brightened up to the point that they appear much closer. This also brings another point.
My proposal:
Given we have planets in the view now officially put in, the parallax on the stars should probably very very very small or rather they shouldn't really be moving much at all. The parallax on the background asteroids would also have to be slower than the planet. Them moving isn't really the problem, it's them moving with the camera that is. I think that would fix most issues regarding this without really needing to do any real heavy lifting, otherwise another option is to simply brighten up the asteroids in the background and lift them up to be in front of the planet?
While this has no effect on gameplay, given how high quality the game's visual standard is, I thought it worthwhile to bring up.
