temperature

Post by Green Cat »

Aquilo's cold should not be instant or none. Similar to no power, the temperature of cold should effect everything. including trains if they don't move.

And if something is frozen completly, then they start losing HP. Why HP? to have a degree of control, and automation, so nothing breaks down.

And yes, this also means that space ships will need a new fuel: repair packs. Based on how many to use at once. Post "victory"? well now we need to add the heating from Aquilo via nuclear power = we NEED uranium post game. And since we can "locally" build repair packs, we kind of can "save" if out of uranium via hot water or other ways that might make it interesting how to implement, since if everything is frozen solid, they'll lose their heath, can't move, can't operate. So there is a need of prioritizing what, and further add extra challange fitting for post game.

Also Lava. I understand that it might be very demmending if there is lava animation to hit and burn everything. But what if the heat itself is the one that start melting things? Roboport flys around? they will start taking damge due to the heat. Trains go near lava? once again, takes damage but most of all, the wood of the rails will melt (aka destroyed similar to acid).
Due to personal issues I do NOT read replies. I have significant spelling issues, and IF I remember, I use AI to rewrite my ideas more clearly. You’re welcome to reuse any of my suggestions.

I think it was probably done for performance reasons. To actively check and update the slowness based on the temperature level of surrounding pipes as opposed to a one off frozen/unfrozen, would cause a more sizeable ups hit.
