TL;DR
Either restructure the dropdown around context or allow users to change the order themselves.
Why?
As a piggyback on my previous suggestion for a better train wait conditions setup, I also wanted to address the waiting condition list. For me as a player, I search lists based around context. The item list and the Factoriopedia in game are all context related. So it's weird to me that some menu's are in Alphabetical order.
I think allowing players to more easily identify and find their desired condition will allow them to more easily find it within the list.
What?
This suggestion currently revolves primarily around restructuring the waiting condition menu's for both trains and space platforms. My suggestion is to place more emphasis on context clusters. This means placing the conditions revolving around items to be clumped together, same for fuel, same for time, etc.
In the following screenshots I've shown the categories with colors. I'm not saying this should be how they should be shown at all. But I wouldn't lie that some sort of visual aid would be nice to distinguish between the different types.
This is my suggestion for grouping and prioritizing options. Alternatively the player could be allowed to customize the order of the items within this menu themselves?

I endorse this request. Seems like a great change that shouldn't be too much work either. Having the different conditions be so wildly far apart means it some times takes a lot more effort to find the one I'm looking for than it needs to.
