How to gain Lazy Bastard achievement?
I've been stuck on the Lazy Bastard achievement for the last couple of evenings and I'm hoping someone can point out what I'm doing wrong. I managed to stay under the hand-crafting limit through the early game, but after unlocking oil processing I realized I'd accidentally crafted a couple of inserters and an assembling machine manually while reorganizing my inventory. Since there's no warning before you click, I didn't notice until much later when I checked the achievement progress and saw my hand-crafted item count was much higher than I expected. I really don't want to restart again because the factory is already in good shape. Is there any reliable way you all avoid accidentally hand-crafting things during long sessions? Do you completely remove ingredients from your inventory, or is there another habit that makes this achievement less stressful?

Re: How to gain Lazy Bastard achievement?
You can pin achievements to your screen and their ribbon turns red when you violate the condition, so at least you notice right away.
You could also turn off the manual crafting mouse bindings in your settings after getting your first assembler.

Just did it yesterday
102 items and I believe it's theoretical minimum (would be 103 or 104 when refinery had to be crafted by hand).
As on your statement - that very thing... preventing manual crafting via "click again if that what you want" when that achievement is tracked, would save a ton of grey hair.

Re: How to gain Lazy Bastard achievement?
you can disable handcrafting by removing in hotkeys or disabling ability to craft in /permissions
Re: How to gain Lazy Bastard achievement?
Since you still have to do hand-crafting of a few things, instead of disabling hand-crafting entirely, change it to an inconvenient key combo.
For example, I change crafting from left-click to Control-Shift-Alt-left-click. That ensures I can't do it accidentally.
In case it helps, here's the list I use to track which items I've made already when I'm going for LB. This gives you the absolute minimum, but of course you can decide to build a few more things to speed the game up if you want.

Re: How to gain Lazy Bastard achievement?
To simply disable hand crafting after you crafted the obligatory assembling machine, enter /permissions in the chat (will not disable achievements), then edit the default user and remove the "Craft" permission:

Thanks, didn't know that
Also wiki says minimum is 101. I probably didn't use furnace to craft a boiler.
