Blueprints to update chests instead of replacing

Post by lacqui »

TL;DR
When using a blueprint that overlaps, for example, steel chests with passive provider chests, trigger an update instead of a delete-and-replace

What?
When placing progressive blueprint that have chests, different levels generally go from steel or iron chests to logistic chests, or from providers to buffers. Under the current system, forcing the next layer blueprint marks the original chest for destruction, which triggers construction bots to empty them. Instead, they should be marked for upgrade, preventing overload of the construction network.
Why?
Currently, if you manually place one chest over another, it does an upgrade in place. Changing the blueprints to do the same would bring the two features into alignment.
