Persistence of the "Show unresearched" button in Factoriopedia over restarts of the game

TL;DR
I'm asking to make the state of the "Show unresearched" button in Factoriopedia persistent between restarts of the game and possibly set to the Off position by default.
What and why?
Some players value being able to only discover things when they reach them.
Hiding the unresearched entries in the Factoriopedia basically makes it usable at all without being exposed to spoilers.
As is whenever you enter the game, you will get exposed to surprise spoilers the first time you open the Factoriopedia.
First time players are also instantaneously shown everything before they decide whether they want to or not.
Making the button persistent and set at Off by default would solve both of these issues and sounds like a super easy thing to do.(but if it's not then I'll understand)

There is a 2.0 mod that was basically what this button does, but couldn't quite access everything to perform automatically.

When I saw this change in 2.1 my first thought was that it's just being made official and better.

but if you look inside of that mod's description you will notice that it's suggested with another mod that hides what tech isn't directly ahead of your current advancements.

After all, it's a hopefully easy change to accommodate a portion of the playerbase that won't have any bearing on this button being used as a filter by the others.

In 2.1.9 the value is now persisted per save file.

Changing the default for everyone is not desired at this point, however mods can set hide_locked_prototypes_in_factoriopedia to true for players at the start of the game to make it default to off.

Would it be possible to set it to off AND disable the button?

I feel like a "remove spoilers" type mod would need a nice way to reduce temptation.
