Why do my sprites look way lower quality than normal?

This has been something that has bothered me for a while. My in game sprites appear to be in lower quality/resolution than what others see. I can't find any more options that could be affecting it. I'm including a picture of my settings, my in game sprite and the latest FFF sprite as comparison.

Any ideas what could be going on? Also thank you for any help

1440p monitor?
Same issue when playing not full screen?
Might be texture stretching, but I am absolutely not sure
