Make rates calculate with ghosts

Post by Antaios »

TL;DR
I believe the per-second rates calculation shown in the information you get when hovering over a building should take into account ghosted beacons, ghosted modules, and modules to be added to the building.
What?
Currently, hovering over a building i.e. an assembler, shows how many items it takes in and spits out per second. However it completely ignores any ghosted beacons, or ghosted modules to-be-inserted into beacons and the building itself. I beliieve the rates should take into account the ghosts around them when making the calculation to facilitate factory planning. This would include ghosts of beacons, ghosts of modules to be inserted into the building and the beacons, and any upgrades planned to the beacons or the building, if possible.
Why?
Rates being added to the hover-information was amazing and wonderful, it's amazingly helpful to plan factories - especially with all the quality and production upgrades changing rates in Space Age and 2.0 when from stage to stage and build to build with different beacon and module setups your rates will change, so you can't memorise them.

However, when you're planning, you also don't always have all the quality modules or buildings or beacons available to build the entire factory all right now in the planning stage - this is where I think in order for the feature to be at it's most useful, it should take into account ghosts, not just already built entities.

It's worth noting this has been suggested as a bug before, and Rseding said it wasn't a bug and was working as intended, and therefore not-a-bug.

I think it should be reconsidered if this should be intended behaviour, it may not technically be a bug, but if the feature is intended to make planning easier, it should naturally accomodate ghosts as ghosts are used extensively in factory planning.
