@Earendel Goodbye and thanks for all the fish.
Thank you to all the Wube team for all of the love you poured into this game over the many years.
I am sure we are all eager to see what the next chapter holds.

Can't believe Earendel is leaving. What a ride.

Uhhh... Does the QoL update include the changes to circuits that where in discussion?
Like the ability to selected the output channel as either green or red?

Wow, I know I’ll be playing the game for years to come still but this feels like the end of an era. Seems like 0.13 wasn’t that long ago, when I discovered Factorio. The devs will forever have my love and admiration for the astonishing amount of attention to detail and creativity they put into this game, both in what the player experiences but also in the back end of bug fixes and optimizations. You all are truly legendary. Uh that is, notwithstanding the decision to put an rpg element, quality, into a game like this. :p I’ll never understand that decision. Can’t wait to see what is next for Wube! This studio is truly one of a kind.

Salute to Wube, both those staying on and those whose work is finishing. It's great to see a project that is complete instead of becoming Factorio as a Service ($9.99/mo).

Re: Friday Facts #440 - 2.1 plan
Oh man, what a journey it has been! I still remember the first Factorio video I saw over 12 years ago that caught my interest. The special feeling of playing and learning for the first time that I know we all wish we could experience over and over.
Doing my own first video series as a makeshift multiplayer by passing the save around, The Hydra Dilemma.
The amazing community that grew around the game, and my own content over 10 years of making videos and streaming.
Then Space Age, and the absolute pleasure I had of being able to go to Prague for the LAN bera testing and meeting not only the amazing Wube team but so many of fellow content creators, mod makers and community members. Truly one of the best experiences of my life.
It feels so weird to know that Factorio is reaching a sort of conclusion and some of the team members are moving on to new things. I'm sure we all look forward to what Wube's next project will be though!
Unfortunately some difficult things happened in my life only a few months after Space Age came out and it changed the trajectory of things for me, causing me to step away from videos and streams. But I've been getting the itch to come back for a bit now... I think this FFF came at the perfect time for myself and I'm really excited to make a FFF discussion video again, my first piece of content in over a year!
Last but certainly not least, I can't wait to see what things they do for the 2.1 update, even if it is smaller stuff. The QoL improvements and even small features never disappoint!

You should all be very proud of what you have created. Factorio is one of the best games ever made, in my opinion. It's certainly my most played by a huge margin. I look forward to 2.1 and the 'complete' Factorio. I'll be playing it for years to come, especially with the amazing modding community that has developed alongside Factorio. There are some brilliant minds out there.

a bit sad not having any official thing about shattering planet.
Re: Friday Facts #440 - 2.1 plan
Really looking forward what new features the 2.1 update will bring. Even tiny QoL features can make a big difference.
My most wanted feature: better/more dynamic platform/rocket silo/landing pad item exchange control.
My most annoying game feature (go away!): belt immunity equipment/the need to have it

It has been a very long ride. Still, as always, I thank you for keeping factorio alive and what it is nowadays.
Pony/Furfag avatar? Opinion discarded.

Czech Post strikes again
Good to hear the game's gonna keep getting support post 2.1. Here's to another 50 years of Factorio.

Looking forward to the release. I agree the game is in an excellent place. I've already spent an insane amount of time in space age, and haven't even jumped into modding.
My only real wish as a bit of a megabaser is a way to unload the spaceport on Nauvis without leaning heavily on bots. It's become a major performance bottleneck in this game as people's factories get bigger and bigger.

As for the FFF I look forward to the new QoL features, and that all good things must come to an end, including development on this fantastic game. Assuming of course that this is not another "Terraria final update (tm)" situation. I'm hopeful for what Wube has planned for the future, not just for this game, but for any future games (Factorio 2?)

Re: Friday Facts #440 - 2.1 plan
Its sad to see development come to an end like this, its a mistake. I don't know the "best" next direction, but surely it could be figured out in a handful of meetings. The interest, both in terms of community and financially is obviously there too. Hopefully Wube reconsiders someday. Either way, thanks for making a fun game, from someone addicted since early 2016. Factorio is something special in the gaming space.
