Hi all,
my game desynced when opening a train menu on Nauvis. I was alone on the server at the time and on Gleba. The train was partially loaded with Calcite and waiting at a station for cargo. I wanted to send the train to the next station manually when the desync occured.
I am playing on a server without any mods except the standard game + space age. It was the first desync that occured on that save file.
Here is the link to the desync report: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tMlQcL ... sp=sharing
Thanks

Re: [2.0.76] Desync opening train
Looking into that desync: it's an incredibly clean desync but I don't see how it would ever happen. The desync is around a recycler and an inserter that's registered as 'sleeping waiting for the recycler to have room for more items' but the inserter is not registered on the peer-side. In both cases the inserter is active - just it didn't un-register on the server for some reason.
I don't suppose you know of any way to reproduce it do you?
Or maybe is the server/you having any other computer related issues? (crashes, BSOD/panics?)

If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.

Re: [2.0.76] Desync opening train
Thanks for the quick reply!
Unfortunately I have no idea how to reproduce it, since I did not actively do anything with recyclers when the crash happened.
Regarding crashes, a few things come to mind
- I had some memory instabilities on my machine end of last year. This was quite a while back and I'm not sure if an error there may have persisted for so long. This could explain such weird bugs, I guess
- My friend hosts the server and when I started getting into Factorio again a few weeks ago, the server had crashed and my friend had to force restart it.
Both of these occured before I started the game today, so I'm also not sure whether the downloading of the map today would have prevented such desyncs or whether the actual issue (i.e. the un-registering of the inserter as you explained) could have happened weeks or months ago and persisted in the background to this day.
In any case, I'm hoping that this is a one-time bug. And thank you very much for your quick reply. It is interesting to see what caused the crash
