What did you do: played on this seed/map settings
What happened: dirt path rendered on top of water
What did you expect to happen instead: dirt path to not render on top of water
Does it happen always, once, or sometimes: recreated a new map with the map exchange string and it happens consistently

When I alt-click the path, it just shows as water, and fish were swimming under it so I think it's entirely graphical with no gameplay impact.
This save is entirely unmodded, DLC is owned but not active.
