So much room for activities

Post by dondada »

Planning to "off-shore" all of my manufacturing and science. Run belts under the water and completely decouple it from resource gathering. Took a really long time to get to nuclear on such a little setup, but I wanted to keep it really simple until expanding onto the island. Lots of idle running in the background and handfeeding.

This is my first time experimenting with a circuit network. I'm slowly testing the efficiency of using the the steam pressure from the sum of both storage tanks, and then having a staggered insertion of fuel rods based on whether the north chest has > 0 in it. Rods are processed and brought in via a belt from the south, and then spent rods are stored in the chest to the west.

I don't really know a lot (or anything) about how heat exchangers and steam turbines work/scale, but I do know that nuclear reactors gain boosts when placed close together. I'll be expanding in that direction in the future.

Not sure if it's any good or not. I came up with it myself and still need to learn how to work with blueprints and save things.

Not just "close together", but directly adjacent to each other. And you can't just have corners touching - the reactors must be directly side-by-side or top-and-bottom.
