This design is intended for use on space platforms, if you want to be able to craft anything just by setting a request on a combinator and having the raw materials available. It automatically calculates and crafts intermediates. For example, if you have only iron and copper plates, and you request some fast inserters, it will know it needs to craft gears -> copper wire -> circuits -> regular inserters and finally the fast inserters you requested. It will craft all these prerequisites in order to produce whatever you request. Blueprint uses a train wagon for testing but can easily be placed on a space platform. The combinators could be rearranged with cut-paste to fit into otherwise wasted spaces on the platform. Feedback welcome!
Edit: 04-21-2026: Fixed a bug where crafting order was wrong, getting stuck trying to craft higher tier items before lower tier.

Hmmm, first of all, cool stuff! Second, can you modify the print such that its clear how to use it? That is maybe set up a demo with all ingredients available in the print? Or make a small video? I find it hard to use otherwise.

Just try putting some iron and copper plates in, and some steel, for example. Turn it on by enabling the On/Reset combinator. Request a few items in the Requests combinator. Belts, inserters, a car, you name it. It will make use of existing intermediates in the wagon if available, so you can save it some time by supplying things like circuits, gears, etc.
EDIT: My bad, I realized the bp was missing the train and wagon. It's fixed now. The assembler inputs and outputs items from the wagon, but in space it would be the space platform hub.

If you adjust the i/o bulkers so they're together, you get an extra slot on the space platform hub.
It's one of my own malls, but the concept holds. You can arrange the circuits to make a 3 meter gap, and use beacons to make the work station more productive.
