I'm using double headed trains <----> on a large base with two way rail signals.
When expanding the train network, I add the chain signals at junctions and rail signals at bypasses and mining outposts using construction bots.
Ascii diagram of two way junction.
+ is a chain signal. Ignore the periods (extra spaces were removed)
....+......................+
================
....+.......\...\..........+
............+.\...\.+
.................\...\
When the chain or rails signals are placed down, they continue to blink.
I have to run over to the signals, pick them up, and place them back down.
Is the underlying code not triggering a proper rail block update when new signals are placed?
The rail blocks become invalid while construction is "in-progress" and only until all signals are placed does the rail block become valid again, but I have to do it by hand.

Re: Rails signals blinking when placed by construction bots
You are placing the signals while the rails are already there? I'd need a proper screenshot or save to confirm, but if sounds like you're initially placing the signals rotated the wrong way. How are you placing them? Do you have a proper signal or signal ghost in hand or is it a blueprint of a signal? The former autorotates into the correct orientation, the later doesn't.
