Need help - infinite progression recipes

Hi,
I would like to create a fun little mod, where you can take 3 machines of same type and produce one with +100% speed.
I've figured out adding recipes and new items, but I don't know how to do it like infinite progression.
Is it even possible? Or is my best choice loop-creating finite set of recipes (let's say 20 for every machine) and that would be it?
