Factorio locks screen at 60hz and causes it to flash

Sorry if this is already posted, could not find anything on it
When factorio is open on my pc, it locks my screen to 60hz, and for some reason input lag becomes noticable when factorio is not the thing on screen.
Furthermore, it makes my screen flicker, or "flash", in game or when minimized. It is not that noticable in game, but i.e. writing this post, it is very annoying. It is almost like the grey's shift hue really fast and sporadically.
I would love to have my screen at 240hz and not flicker. It is a pain to do anything if factorio is open on my computer.

I have tried every different graphics setting in factorio, and nothing helps.
I have an 4070ti, r5 7600x, AOC C27G2ZE monitor running on displayport
Note: my secondary screen does not flicker and input lag does not change.

Just disable G-Sync for Factorio in Nvidia driver (i'm also doing the same to avoid the stuttery mouse input at 60 Hz).
Then your monitor won't get locked on 60 Hz.
