Still on Nauvis, while remote view editing my space platform, I had the deconstruction planner out deconstructing some things.
I accidentally held down the deconstruction selection box, while also closing the remote view, and almost the entirety of my factory on the planet was marked for deconstruction and my bots quickly went to work ripping down EVERYTHING.
I looked around and I do not believe this has been reported yet.
Should add a check to stop box selecting with planners upon exiting remote view, as I believe this would probably happen with upgrade planners as well.
[2.0.28] Deconstruction planner can mark huge portion of surface unintentionally when closing remote view
Re: [2.0.28] Deconstruction planner can mark huge portion of surface unintentionally when closing remote view
Hello, do I understand your incident correctly as:
- You were in remote view
- Started deconstruction selection (unintentionally)
- Switched out of remote view
- Let go - thus confirming the deconstruction selection on different surface
- Stuff was marked for deconstruction that you had no intention of deconstructing
Re: [2.0.28] Deconstruction planner can mark huge portion of surface unintentionally when closing remote view
thats pretty much the gist of it
Re: [2.0.28] Deconstruction planner can mark huge portion of surface unintentionally when closing remote view
This has happened to me too.
Re: [2.0.28] Deconstruction planner can mark huge portion of surface unintentionally when closing remote view
This appears to be fixed in the latest version, can you please confirm if you're able to reproduce this in 2.0.34?
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.
[2.0.72] Deconstruction planner in remote view applied on present surface
I apologize in advance because I am not sure exactly which actions cause this bug or how to reproduce it.
I was on Fulgora, but I needed to revamp part of my base on Nauvis. As part of that process, I used the deconstruction planner to clear some trees and buildings, including re-doing my design a few times. During this process, I noticed I kept getting the Factoriopedia popups, and I assumed I was going too fast. I cleared them quickly, but upon reflection, they may have been showing Fulgora's surface?
Eventually, while still building on Nauvis and not having left the map, I got a notification that the bots on Fulgora had run out of logistics space. This is because somewhere, somehow, the deconstruction I was applying on Nauvis got applied to Fulgora _as well_. So the deconstruction worked fine on Nauvis in map mode, and also worked fine on Fulgora. Of note, the area it was applied to on Fulgora was MASSIVE, and way larger than the area I was working with in Nauvis.
I don't really have a useful save other than showing my base in shambles, but maybe some logs will help? I'm adding both from the current session (probably not helpful) and the previous session (when the bug occurred).
Merged...
