[2.0.72] Crash on launch, no stacktrace

Hello,

my game immediately crashes when I try to start it in Steam.

It happens when I left-click in my Steam library on the "play"-button and wait for the game to start.
After a few seconds, I get a crash screen. By that time, no game-window has ever opened, so the game "crashes before it really starts".
The cloud synchronization finishes first, but afterwards I get the crash.
This happens every time I try to start the game now. So it is easily reproduced.

The error message of the crash can be found in the attachment "11-12-2025, 21-58-31.png".

I also attached the mentioned file to this report ("factorio-current.log").

The only thing that changed on my system since yesterday is the latest windows update that was just completed about 15 minutes before I tried to start the game.

What is the reason for this crash? Can I prevent it somehow?

Restart your system and if that does not help try the zip install from factorio.com.

Thank you, the restart worked. Sorry that I didn't do that before posting the error massage. I was probably panicking to not be able to receive my daily dose
