Let the agricultural tower pick up any item from the ground

Post by zardozspeakz »

TL;DR
Give agricultural towers an additional use of picking up anything on the ground.

What?
Here's what im imagining. The agricultural tower would have a targetting priorities box, similar to asteroid collectors and turrets. This would let you set priorities for harvesting, and let you select ground items. There would be a white list/black list option, and also a "ignore unlisted option".

In this example imagine, the tower is set a bit redundantly, but i wanted to show potential options. This tower is set to pick up all items on ground, jellynut, yamako, and also pentapod shells.

You can imagine this would be handy for areas where the two soils are close to each other, where you want a tower only picking up a particular kind of fruit and not the other (leaving that to a second tower). But it'd also be nice for cleaning up pentapod shells along your perimeter wall. I can see lots of mod use for automatic pick up items (stuff like the old alien loot/alien artifacts idea from beta factorio).

There are other posts about enabling planting/harvesting selectively, and that should somehow be included in this too, but I really like the idea of extending the towers use to just generally grabbing anything on the ground.

It would be nice to tell the tower NOT to pick up the reeds and contaminate the fruit belt with wood LOL.
My own personal Factorio super-power - running out of power.
