[2.0.69] Crashing few miniuts after launch

Hi,

I haven’t played Factorio in a few months, but when I tried to launch it recently, I ran into this issue. Every time I start the game, it freezes, and if I try to close it, my entire system locks up. The crashes happen at random; sometimes the game crashes during startup, and other times it runs for about 30 minutes before freezing. I haven’t been able to identify what’s causing it. I’ve already tried several fixes including reinstalling the game, updating my graphics driver, and updating Windows, but nothing has worked so far and the game keeps crashing. Advice on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated!

Apart from usual suspects (bad CPU, GPU, and problems with software), it could be:
hard drive bad sectors
RAM depleted and swapping to HDD

Check system logs for any sign of HDD errors.
