[2.0.69] Failing to load sprites on startup

Post by cge0023 »

I've deleted and redownloaded all of my game files, used every suggested config command, tried loading when I have mods disabled to very inconsistent results (works about 1/5 of the time and only when I set graphics to normal in the config), I've updated and redownloaded my drivers twice, and I've even reseated my RAM, thinking maybe it was a memory error. Other games run fine, so if it is a hardware issue, it just really dislikes Factorio. The issue occurs every time I try and start the game. The loading bar gets to about 54% and hesitates for a few seconds, then jumps to 95% and gives an error along the lines of "Failed to load sprite - loading bitmap failed: InvalidParameter (2).: __space-age__/graphics/terrain/aquilo/frozen-refined-concrete.png". I have no clue why this started happening. I closed the game one night, and when I tried to open it the next, it wouldn't. No updates occurred to my knowledge. The sprite that fails to load changes every time. I have a screenshot of the error and the log file attached below.

The Command I found in the thread (--single-thread-loading) seems to have fixed it. Thanks for your help.
