Vanila update for mod compability

Post by Green Cat »

This is a very quick post. Grammer issues warning. Sorry, don't have time to write in details and later will forget i did this post. Sorry

Space exploration (meteorid), bob, rampant (sorry if i wrote wrong), and the names of the overhaull mods that add new damage type continues.

Ideea is very very simple: even if they are not used anywhere in the vanilla (non mod) version, to have them in the system. The reason is very simple: you install a mod that add resistance due to strong enemies or whatever it is.... mod was not created for the overhaul you play as such, did NOT include thoes type of resistence. Result? it's missing. So the very strong wall to balance out against titan (bob) enemies, will instantly fall because there was no setting to change against pierce or alien fire (due to 100% fire resistance (flamethrower), the fire bitters have their own "fire" version)).

And this is happening to every last mod i saw. So the ideea of my suggestion is simple: add the most popular used, like the ones from overhaul, into the base game, so that anyone who does a mod, will actually add them.

Because the reason many don't add thoes resistence is very simple:

1: they don't know said damage type exist
2: the mod maker might know but does not know how to create a "only if said mod is installed", as such, if they where to add this damage, it would create an error that this damage type does not exist
3: they don't wish to put extra effort, something that is fair since It's their volunteer project as such they won't go further then they are ok to do.

Why would devs solve your own problem of mixing mods that don't mix well in this case?
Or setup proper defense?
