After all the capacity research you ended up with 4 stack size in non-bulk inserters, but the Inserter capacity bonus research only give you +2 for a total of 3.
the tech that give you the extra +1 is Bulk inserter tech, but in the description doesn't say anything about regular inserters, so you ended up with +3 not knowing how.
[2.0.66] Inseters stack size not clear in tech tree
Re: [2.0.66] Inseters stack size not clear in tech tree
This is not a big. The technology shows in the effects list what it’s doing.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.

I don't know what i'm missing, says nothing about non-bulk inserters.Rseding91 wrote: Sat Sep 20, 2025 7:26 am This is not a big. The technology shows in the effects list what it’s doing.

This falls onto the same as 116018 - due to how technologies and modifiers are made to work, we do not attempt trying to "guess" what were the values before researching a technology and what are the values after researching a technology, in many cases of modded games it could happen there are independent branches of technology that give the same bonus and we simply do not care about what order those technologies were researched and what were the modifiers while they were researched. That means we accept that the tooltips may be not accurate and if you look at the tooltips for researched technologies, the effects will state what would happen if this technology would be researched again.
If you think this is still a bug, then the only option will be to simply disable the effect tooltips when looking at the already researched technologies, but that will create problems with infinite technologies.

Even if i do not research bulk inserter tech, there is still no way to know that research is giving a +1 to a non-bulk inserters, researched or not researched the tooltip only says that apply to bulk and stack inserters.boskid wrote: Sat Sep 20, 2025 9:14 pm This falls onto the same as 116018 - due to how technologies and modifiers are made to work, we do not attempt trying to "guess" what were the values before researching a technology and what are the values after researching a technology, in many cases of modded games it could happen there are independent branches of technology that give the same bonus and we simply do not care about what order those technologies were researched and what were the modifiers while they were researched.
