1. Recently, I've updated my M4 Macbook Air to macOS Tahoe.
2. I instantly recognized that the game preforms worse and there are weird screen tearing issues that are unable to be captured via game capture or screenshots. I can upload a video recording of my laptop's screen if needed. The game hovers around mid 50's, which was never the issue on the previous version I was on which was Sequoia.
3. I expected that the game would preform the same on the previous version of macOS, without any issue like before.
4. This always happens.
I think you can replicate the issue by playing factorio on macOs tahoe but im not 100% sure.

Sorry you’re having issues on the new version of macOS! I didn’t see this problem on beta 4, but something might have changed since then. Can you try enabling the Metal graphics backend in settings and see if that fixes it? Settings > Graphics > Graphics Backend > Metal (experimental)

Hi, no worries. Switching to metal has seemed to fix the issue thank you! Will opengl be fixed?

Glad that fixes it!
Apple deprecated OpenGL several years ago, so the fact that it works at all is about the best we can expect. We’ve just been slow to move over.
Will we try to fix it? Certainly. However, we’re planning to replace OpenGL with Metal on Macs soon, so this may only accelerate that decision.
