[Genhis][2.0.66] Disabled trigger-based technologies can be researched

Post by FoxSlyme »

1. What did you do?
Disabled a research_trigger-based technology (e.g. "Electronics") and then completed its listed requirement (crafted 10 Copper Plates).

2. What happened?
The technology was researched anyway, despite being disabled for my force.

3. What did you expect to happen instead? It might be obvious to you, but do it anyway!
The trigger-based technology would not update progress or be researched while it's disabled.

4. Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
This always happens. Tested with technologies: "steam-power", "electronics", "automation-science-pack", "oil-processing", "space-platform" (with Space Age DLC).

Example reproduction steps:
1. Start a new game on freeplay or sandbox scenario.
2. Run

Code: Select all

/c game.forces.player.technologies["electronics"].enabled = false
in the console (twice if necessary to confirm the command).
3. Observe that "Electronics" technology doesn't show up in the technologies tree for the player force.
4. Start smelting copper ore into copper plates.
5. Observe how "Electronics" shows up in the current technology preview and increases the progress with each smelted copper plate.
6. When 10 copper plates have been smelted, observe how the "Electronics" technology is now shown as researched and its effects (recipes for copper cables, electronic circuits, etc.) are applied. Opening the technology tree now focuses on that technology because it's the latest one researched.
