OK fine, I don't remember the name of the original planet. I feel like the mistake is fairly obvious yes?BraveCaperCat wrote: Sat Mar 22, 2025 10:25 am There are no fulgoran enemies except lightning. I believe there's also a different discussion somewhere about there being no fulgoran enemies, maybe you should read the entirety of that.

I thought maybe you'd added a mod that added biters to Fulgora, and then forgot it was a mod. (Though confusing the names of Nauvis and Fulgora also makes sense.) So it wasn't necessarily obvious what you actually meant.the_potty_1 wrote: Mon Mar 24, 2025 7:40 am OK fine, I don't remember the name of the original planet. As an aside, something I hadn't realized about the name Nauvis. I telling my BF about Factorio and Space Age, and mentioned "Nauvis is the starting planet..." and he laughed and said "Novice? Really? They named the starting planet Novice?" ...I had never noticed that pun before.)

Factorio is the crack! We have to get the kids hooked on it, so they can build more efficient Aquilo Heat networks.Visione wrote: Sun Aug 17, 2025 2:43 amThe older I get the more I think younger generationa smoke crack during their childhood.

I don't understand how this could be a cash grab. A cash grab would be releasing "Factorio 2" for $35 only containing the 2.0 update or releasing "Factorio: Space Age" for $70.AkQ wrote: Thu Oct 31, 2024 12:01 pm Alright, I have to say it: Space Age being a DLC is absurd. Ten years later, we’re handed this massive expansion that’s practically a new game in itself—new planets, space travel, tons of content that easily outscales the base game—and they slap on a purple DLC ribbon like it's a minor update. I mean, really? What on earth (or space) justifies this as a DLC instead of a true standalone Factorio 2?
There’s zero logical reason for this move except to cash in on existing owners, forcing everyone to buy the original game just to play the expansion. When I saw it on Steam, I nearly laughed out loud at how blatant it is. A sequel is expected to bring fresh gameplay, sure, but Factorio is unique. It’s a fully completed game, not some subscription-based service or MMO. And now they want us to treat this 10-year-later update like a small add-on?
Honestly, calling this pure evil feels fair. They’ve created a whole new experience, loaded it with content, yet we’re supposed to pay for the base game just to access it. The space update alone has more to offer than the original Factorio. It’s obvious they’re trying to squeeze extra out of fans who have already supported the game over the years, making us buy the DLC with full price to access what should have been a fresh title.
The whole setup screams cash grab. If they had just released Space Age as Factorio 2, it would make sense, be respectful to the fanbase, and attract even more players. As it stands, it’s frustrating and just plain disappointing.
This is saying that if you want a DLC you need to buy the base game (a base game that, in my opinion, is worth more than the cost of the base game + DLC).
