[2.0.60] Crash on save load (Error LogisticPointFilters.cpp:233: Requested filter not present)

Post by Pyromartian »

I attempted to load a save file created in Factorio 2.0.60, along with the associated autosaves. All of them cause the game to crash during the load process.

Upon loading the affected save (or any of its autosaves), Factorio crashes with the following error logged:

Error LogisticPointFilters.cpp:233: Requested filter not present

The crash occurs during map load after 'Map version 2.0.60-0' is printed in the log, typically within the 'Map::setupEntities' phase of loading.

I expected the save to load normally into gameplay as it had prior to the crash. No visible changes were made to the save file between its last successful use and this failure.

It happens 100% of the time when loading this save or its autosaves. It does not occur when creating or loading a new game, even with the same mod setup and blueprints.

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce the issue from scratch. However, here's what I’ve done:

1. I tested loading other saves and newly created maps – those work without issues.
2. I converted the broken save into a scenario, hoping to open it in the map editor, but it still crashes.
3. I attempted to revert the save to an earlier version, as per a similar crash report 129626 I found on the forums, but that results in a version incompatibility error.
4. I tried removing potentially bad blueprints and even cleared player-data.json locally – no effect.
5. The crash appears tied to a missing logistic request filter, but since I can’t load the save at all, I can’t identify or remove the corrupt entity.

Let me know if there's anything more I can provide! Thank you for your time, and for all your hard work on the game. It means a lot!

I tried to load this save file in 2.0.61 unreleased and it loads just fine so it looks there is a migration that fixes whatever corruption has happened here. In the Load game gui you should be able to trigger this migration by holding Control key while you press "Load" button - in this case the save file will apply all the migrations and apparently fix that save file.

Corruption itself is with requester chest on nauvis near {328.5, 408.5} (you can type [gps=328.5,408.5] into chat to get a ping pointing at that chest) and it is related to spoilage. I was not investigating if there are ways to trigger this corruption from scratch.

I held down control while loading and the save loaded and all is well!

However, I took a look at the corrupted requester chest and it looks fine on first glance.

I might just delete the requester setup and start from scratch but I was half expecting to see a corrupted request.

Regardless, thank you so much for your help!
