[2.0.58] Dragging belt forward then backward then rotating causes multiple belts to be placed

Steps to reproduce:

1. Place a belt and drag your mouse in the direction the belt is going.
2. Drag it in the opposite direction.
3. press R to rotate the belt by 90°
4. Drag perpendicularly

During the whole process, don't release your mouse left button!

Magically belt between mouse position and "end of belt" are placed.

The expected output is rotation of the belt that was hovered by the mouse and placement of a new belt perpendicularly:
