Why will my train not route to station?

I can't get my train to route to Copper Field 2. I put the train on the track at then end and it made it one way, but will not go back. Any ideas why?



I always struggle with trains and signals, even after reading up.

It's a single track and you signaled it one way only.

And it worked on the other route because I had 2 tracks to make it 2 way?

Not two tracks to make it two way but two one way tracks, one signaled for each direction and the small single track part the station sits on is not signaled, so that is two way. Do the in game train tutorials, they teach exactly this.
