Pressing "Enter" after searching in remote view should "commit" search term and un-focus search field

This is a habit I keep finding myself doing: I'm in remote view, I ctrl+f to find something. I hit "Enter" habitually, thinking that that will "commit" my search (think like, you're in your browser, hitting "Enter" commits to the search term). I see things light up on the screen, and I try to WASD over to it. Unfortunately, because pressing "Enter" did nothing, those keys I just pressed are now being interpreted as input to the text field, which causes my search to be inaccurate, the thing I searched for is almost certainly no longer highlighted, and I'm now sad and have to fix my input. I think that this is more confusing in the remote view vs. other views with search fields, because the map in general is a place to navigate, although honestly I wish it worked this way in any search field.

It's also a bit confusing for me anyway - I guess I'm supposed to click on the screen to get it to un-focus the search field, but for whatever reason that doesn't come natural to me so I keep messing it up.

Anywho - if this has to be an option, so be it, but please allow "Enter" to be interpreted as a "commit" to the search team when you're in a search field, and un-focus the field. At least to me, that feels very intuitive. If this is possible to change with mods, I'd love some direction, because I'd change it myself if I could

Second that, I can't really say from where I have this habit but somehow I always expect Enter to commit and let me continue navigating the map as I did before opening search. And several hundred hours spent in SA didn't fix this habit )
Considering also that Esc practically 'cancels' search and returns to map controls, would be logical that Enter 'commits' it.

But I'd like to note that there's additional functionality to Enter in map search, if you navigate search results (list of ore patches for example) with up/down arrow keys and press Enter, you pin that location in the list under minimap.
Please don't break it.
