I tried to run the game on my desktop. This monster has AMD Barton 2500+, with MSI GeForce Ti 4200 64mb vram and 1GB DDR 1 on 400Mhz. Unfortunately, the game did not even wont to start .
What kind of computer do you need for Factorio?

The game runs fine on my laptop.

Re: What kind of computer do you need for Factorio?
Hey guys,
i am thinking of buying the game, but i want to make sure my system can handle it now and in the future, in singleplayer, multiplayer and with all the great content!
My specs are:
Acer Aspire 5750G
Intel Core i5-2410M 2,3 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GT540M (2GB?) with GREAT (not) NVIDIA Optimus... is it working with it?
8 GB DDR3 RAM
so what do you think? thanks for reply!

Re: What kind of computer do you need for Factorio?
It's not heavy on your graphics card. As long as you have the required amount of VRAM(2GB should be more than enough, I have 1GB and works great) you should have no trouble running the game on 60FPS
However, if you like to build very large factories(like me), you need to have some CPU power, or the UPS will drop. My PC can handle larger factories, but my laptop with only a 2nd gen i3 mobile processor runs it at less than 20 UPS, which isn't bearable.
8GB RAM should probably be enough. Never had any problem with the RAM
That all said, your PC is very probably good enough to run the game.

Ignore this
Re: What kind of computer do you need for Factorio?
got it on my Core i7 gaming pc
but it runs pretty well on the following laptop :
`Intel core 2 duo - T6570 @ 2.10ghz
4 gb ram
Ati mobility radeon HD 4300 series
and it runs well on the old Core i7 920 + intel HD gfx at work as well when i'm waiting for the servers to finish patching
