Joining a Server on Game start always fails

Hello everyone,
when I try to join a server and my mods mismatch, I can use the "Join Server after restart" option. The Issue is that the game always fails to reach the server after the restart. Joining the server using the menu works fine.

Game Version: 2.0.47 expansion linux (Same Issue on windows though)
If necessary, I can provide additional information.

This sounds like the server is behind some NAT and by the time you restart and then attempt to join the whole punched from the server browsing has timed out.

Is this possible to fix on the client side or is this behaviour hardcoded?

It may be addressable in the engine but I’m not sure.
