What did you do?
Press Zr + Zl + “-“ buttons, while holding the Movement thumbstick slightly.
What happened?
Character continues to walk after releasing the thumb stick. Chat window and Switch keyboard pops-up.
What did you expect to happen instead? It might be obvious to you, but do it anyway!
Character would stop walking when thumbstick is released.
Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
This happens accidentally while trying to open the Chat window since the palm of my hand brushes against the thumbstick while reaching to push the Minus button. It stops when the chat message is sent.
It seems to be an “Input Capture” problem of some sort? Like the game loses Input exclusivity to the System popup, so it assumes that I am still holding the thumb stick. As soon as Input is returned the character stops.
[Twinsen][2.0.47][switch] Opening Chat box does not stop player Movement
Re: [Twinsen][2.0.47][switch] Opening Chat box does not stop player Movement
Thanks for the report. This will be fixed in Version 2.0.56 or later, depending when next stable version after that is.
Re: [Twinsen][2.0.47][switch] Opening Chat box does not stop player Movement
Thank you! I will go plug my Switch in and wait (patiently) for the next Stable.
