How to get copper on space platform?

Hi, i`m newbie, and i`m building my first big space platform, and encountered a problem: i don`t know how to get copper for bullets. It`s need to deliver from planets or i somehow can mine copper in space?

You can obviously ship either copper or bullets directly to the platform, which most people have to do until they get to research that allows them to do this: https://wiki.factorio.com/Metallic_aste ... ve_recipes

[A tip] But, if you haven't reached that level of research yet, then you probably also don't need to use copper to make red bullets on your platform, also. The regular yellow ones will do just fine until you get pretty far past the solar system's edge.

You can get copper from metallic asteroids after researching Advanced Asteroid Processing (https://wiki.factorio.com/Advanced_aste ... (research)), but you don't really need piercing ammo in the inner system.

To add, not using red ammo isn't a workaround or a stopgap solution, instead it's a perfectly valid approach. It's simply not necessary. Instead, use the existing turrets with filtered targets. Laser turrets for small asteroids, gun turrets with yellow ammo for medium asteroids, rocket turrets with yellow rockets for big asteroids, railgun turrets for huge asteroids. Outside of Aquilo, approaching the edge and the shattered planet, use red rockets (the explosive ones), since density of big asteroid is so high there is huge synergy with using them. Their area damage will even destroy so many smaller asteroids the yellow ammo use of the gun turrets actually decreases instead of increases.
