Factorio, switch 2 and dlc, possibilities

Hi everyone, this has probably already been asked and I apologize in advance. I have both a PC/Steam Deck and a Switch, but lately I've been really happy with the Switch as it's more handy and easy to take on trips (and my Steam Deck is always in the hands of others at home ). I would like to buy the game... I would be more inclined to Switch for the reasons mentioned above but I saw that the beautiful DLC is missing. Since I also ordered a Switch 2 I wouldn't like to have to buy the game again or find myself without the DLC...

I know there is no official news because Nintendo hasn't unlocked the development kit yet, but are there any chances of seeing Factorio optimized for Switch 2 even with a paid upgrade and the release of the DLC? Thanks!

I want to look into it, yes.
But so far we don't have access to the development environment and no information from Nintendo.

Previous Discussion. The hardware will probably be able to do it on Paper, but the Switch 2 is still less powerful than a gaming laptop.

Nintendo has famously restrictive Non-Disclosure-Agreements, especially for an as-yet-unreleased Console. The first Official news will likely be a FFF Blog Post and/or Nintendo Store announcement.

I understand... what I have to do is a bit of a gamble: Do I get it for PC to play (when I can) on Steam Deck with expansion or on Switch today, free to play it whenever I want (and with better continuity between portable game and TV with base) but only basic game and maybe with problems on Switch 2? I'll evaluate but I'm more undecided than my wife when she looks at shoes!

"Or" ? I don't understand.... the game is available on multiple platforms; why have you not already purchased it multiple times?! The game is well worth the amortized hourly price for me - only pennies per Inserter placed!

While the current Switch build does not support Space Age / Quality / Elevated Rails Expansions; it is 100% crossplay compatible with PC Multiplayer servers (no Mods!). So the only choice is whether to wait for the Expansion to be released / Switch 2....

I would buy the PC version because it's just so much more flexible. You can for example play also 1.1. On Switch you're stuck with 2.0 without Space Age.
