Cultivation Recipes should tell you it is always fresh. [2.0.4.1 SA]

Post by EricGamer87 »

When you breed Eggs, Fish, or either type of bacteria, the result of the recipe, regardless of how spoiled the ingredients are, will always be fresh. Nowhere in the game does it tell you this, even though it specifies that making nutrients out of spoilage will have it be 50% Spoiled right away.

This can confuse a lot of new players in Space Age to get confused and potentially overthink builds and get stuck about builds regarding eggs and bacteria, not knowing how to make sure they are as fresh as possible even though they are always fresh no matter how spoiled the ingredients are when they are made.

I think that the Egg Cultivation and Bacteria Breeding recipes should have next to them a percentage on how spoiled they are when they are made (Example: Pentapod Egg (0% Spoiled)) to tell the player how spoiled the product is when its made like how Nutrients being made from Spoilage has a "50% Spoiled" Label next to it. It would convey something to the player that is extremely important for making anything on Gleba and would make someone starting on Space Age for the first time less confused on how to automate Eggs and how to make Iron/Steel and Copper without bringing them in externally.

Speaking from experience with this suggestion because it took me 20 hours to find this out and I found it out randomly on DoshDoshington's Video on Factorio Space Age.
