When cutting and pasting a mid-craft assembling machine on a space platform, instead of being re-built at the destination, a ghost at the destination remains and the assembler is nowhere to be seen in the platform's inventory. I also checked and didn't see it getting dropped to the planet.
As best I could tell, title were necessary conditions. Save attached; upon loading it, go to the platform named <space science>. Within a few seconds of loading in the **top-right** assembler should be fed and start crafting. A good second or so after this starts, use the cut tool to attempt to move the assembler 1-2 tiles to the right. It gets deleted, leaving a ghost instead of rebuilding. If you can't reproduce, try again with slightly different timing; it usually reproduced for me but not every time, so I suspect there's something more to it than just the crafting. Either way it reproduces with *some* timing within ~15 seconds of the save load.
I could not reproduce with the smelters on the same platform.

Re: [2.0.39] Cut/paste a mid-craft assembler on space platform deletes it
Not a bug. Since you did not cut inserter taking out from hub and into the assembler, it takes the assembler out of the hub, places it on ground and then tries to take different item and cover it to hide the crimes it did.

Ah sneaky, my bad. Thanks!
