Hi @all,
i thought about a feature that could maybe increase the gameplay-speed for the more advanced people in the earlygame.
Think about placing a smelting-stack - if you have a blueprint for it you would need to click each ghost item with the pipette-tool (Q) to place the item on the right place. This often feels frustrating, since you can missclick or even missplace your mouse a little bit, just to place it on the wrong place, therefore deleting your ghost-buildings, only to remove the wrong placed items, and having to CTRL+Z your blueprint again.
For that, wouldn't it be nice to have a "ghost-placing"-Tool that would make it that much easier, more reliable and therefor much less frustrating?
I could see this future shine even more when playing with a controller/steam-deck. I can imagine that this tool would be something that you would never want to miss again, once implemented.
How is your all's opinion on something like that? It would be very interesting to see what you guys think about such a feature!
Smart-placing feature ("Blueprint-/Ghost-Placing")

This feature has been discussed before and the devs commented at the time that it is essentially construction bots without construction bots and it takes too much away from that game feature.

Mouse over construction comes pretty close to what you'll want:

I use it all the time, only with like super force build over other stuff it doesn't work entirely correct.
