Hi everyone,
Before I buy the game, I wanted to check if my computer could run it. But when I installed the demo, and click the .exe file, the icon pops up, but when I click it, I get the Error :
boost::filesystem::rename: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process:
"C:/Users\Darthpea\AppData\Roaming\factorio-current.log"
'"C:/Users\Darthpea\AppData\Roaming\factorio-previous.log".
I have this problem even after restarting my computer / tried the zip installation / set the Factorio file in the path above to Read/Write.
I'm using Windows 7, 64-bit.
Anyone encountered this problem?

That's weird, that error usually pops up if you're trying to run more than one instance of Factorio from the same place..
Have you tried the 0.11.13 demo? Does it happen on that as well?

Thanks for replying, FishSandwich.
I tried .13, it gives me the same error.
I tried copying into another drive, and running it from there, but no luck. If I hover over the icon, I can see a small preview screen of the game where you click "Play", but when I actually click the icon, it refuses to open.
So I then right click the icon in which the game is loading, and click "Factorio.exe". Only then does the error message pop up.
Am I supposed to wait for the game to open a window by itself? I'm starting to suspect clicking it multiple times is what is the problem. But I've been waiting for ages, and the game does not open, even though by hovering, I can see it's waiting for me to choose my options in the main screen.

Ah okay, that sounds like this issue. If you follow the steps there it should resolve it.
It's a temporary fix, I believe the cause is unknown at the moment, but it'll likely be something fixed in future.

Unfortunatly that solution isn't working for me as the error message displays exactly at the 99% mark and the display freezes. Any advice?
Nevermind fixed it by restarting in safe mode and deleting the Factorio.exe located at C:\Users\*ENTER_USERNAME_HERE*\AppData\Roaming\Factorio\temp. If someone else with this problem could test this to see if it's just my unique situation or a fix for everyone I'm sure people would appreciate it.
