In blueprint description and display panel text, ENTER key creates a new line.
In combinator description, ENTER acts as "confirm" and closes the dialog box. You must use Shift-ENTER to create a new line.
GUI input inconsistency: ENTER key in combinator description acts differently.

Running into the same issue. Is there really no way to confirm-exit a Display Panel text box? (Escape cancel-exits).
Re: GUI input inconsistency: ENTER key in combinator description acts differently.
Thanks for the report. This is working as intended - the different GUIs use different text input methods that react to enter differently by design.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.

My workaround: hit escape twice (once to bring up discard dialog, once to cancel discard dialog) and you'll get out of the textbox, then you can press E to accept.
