Late game: Where does your engineer live?

Post by NineNine »

In late game, where does your engineer live, and what does he/she do while you're working on designing everything and your bots are building everything? I know that I usually forget entirely about the engineer after all of the planets have bots.

I have some spots to go to, like throne, or belts loops where i like to park my physical avatar while practicing late game telekinesis. Those are generally next to trash area and also landing pad and also silo to be close to where i need be to change planet and speed up the time bots need to carry over my inventory when i change planet.

I do design with my character even in late game when it's a new thing, but i spend most of my time upgrading or changing already existing stuff

All crew are safely aboard a Constitution class starship, traveling the Galaxy and managing all of the Planets safely from Remote View. It has been a long time since an Away Team had to beam down to Aquilo to manually insert a Uranium Fuel Cell….

Typically on Nauvis. I've had to make a couple of trips to Fulgora, as expanding production there typically requires laying train tracks across the oil ocean, well beyond the range of roboports.

I left a tank with personal roboport there and haven't been back. Same for Nauvis, Vulcanus, and Gleba.

Even if it was a spidertron, where my driving skill wouldn't enter in consideration i would still move to different planets with my avatar late game, but with a tank it's guaranteed x)

I live wherever I last wanted to relocate a huge pile of stored items. Even compared with lots of bots and spidertrons, one mech-suited engineer provides considerable throughput.

I live on my space ship so I can descend on whatever planet to do whatever I need to do.
