Not enough data remaining (wrong count?)
Hoping someone can help. I was playing factorio and I typically play on two different computers. It syncs automatically to the steam cloud. Once it’s uploaded I shut off the computer. And when I start playing again I’ll wait until it says download complete. I haven’t changed anything in setting or mods or anything. I can load a save from 3 weeks ago but hoping I can salvage my most recent save. I get the error message “Not enough data remaining (wrong count?)”.

Re: Not enough data remaining (wrong count?)
I did a quick check but this save file is corrupted and i am unable to identify where exactly it is corrupted. Data that game tries to read make no sense, it is corrupted when reading charting requests however the game tick values are missing so i am unable to pinpoint where exactly the corruption happened.

Re: Not enough data remaining (wrong count?)
Ok thanks for trying. Anything I can do to avoid this in the future or is it kind of randomn?
Re: Not enough data remaining (wrong count?)
The only know ways this can happen is failing hardware: falling RAM, CPU or hard drive. However there’s an extremely rare chance that there’s an engine bug. So if anyone is ever able to find a way to reproduce the save corruption from a fresh state let us know.
