[posila] [2.0.33] technology icons with a modifier icon are shown smaller than they should

Post by Quezler »

Sometime around the 2.0 release there were some changes to how layered icons behaved, most notably that the base layers now scale down if another layer would push the total outside of its designated render box, previously the items could clip out of their invisible bounds whilst still not looking out of place visibly.

Every technology item with a modifier icon in the bottom left corner is affected, see attached for a 1.x vs 2.0 comparison.

It is also very noticable when you look at the technologies with and without such a modifier icon among the 2.0 tech tree, they're noticably smaller overall.
(and their center is off a bit to the top left as a result)

The expected behavior is that all the technologies render their icon in at the same width, height & center regardless of a modifier icon being there or not.

Thanks for the report.
Fixed for 2.0.24

I added IconData::floating bool to fix this.

The armor modifier icon now overlaps bar bellow the icon, but it was the same in 1.1, so it's officially a feature.
