Egg Handling No enemies

Post by arneyeric »

From what I understand I have no enemy bases from version 1.?? After doing a lot of searching I found a post about editing the saved game files and turning on enemies for unexplored tiles. I can't seem to find that post. Does anyone know how to resolve this, without restarting?

As a side note, I tried to map edit, but only seems to work for creating a scenario map. When you start playing a scenario all the buildings are blank, with no Warehouse recipes. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

Load your save. Enter map editor by entering /editor into the console. You need to do this twice. You're notified entering the map editor will disable future achievements for this save.
In the map editor menu go to the "Surfaces" tab. Click the "Edit map gen settings" button within.
In the map gen settings, go to the "Enemy" tab. Activate "Enemy bases" and "Gleba enemy bases". This will enable generating enemy bases, and that's what you need for game progress. You don't need to also enable enemies, since that's not required for progressing Nauvis and Gleba. The Pentapod eggs can be acquired by destroying the now appearing egg rafts, and it's the biter nests you need for captivity.
Leave the map editor by entering /editor again.
Nests will not appear in existing chunks, but if you explore a few chunks that are currently black, nests and egg rafts will appear in the newly discovered chunks.
