[2.0.32] Tooltip indicates E to confirm, when not applicable

When the cursor is placed in a number entry field, E does not function to confirm, but actually enters a literal e.

Expected behaviour: Tooltip does not indicate E to confirm, in situations where Hotkey is not applicable/functional.

I became so used to using E to confirm a entered number for years (muscle memory) but now it does not work anymore.
