As usual, my report is stretching the definition of 'bug', so feel free to ignore this, but I'm hoping it's an easy fix.
Bassically, when selecting the icon of a blueprint, blueprint book, upgrade planner, or deconstruction planner, you are presented with the same GUI for selecting signals:
However, this has less options than the GUI for selecting icons (the one you get when clicking these buttons ):
Now I can manually edit the blueprint (e.g. by using https://factorio.tmin10.ru/) to choose an icon shown in the icon selector, but not the signal selector, e.g. .
I haven't tested it with all icons though, just the 'tree plant'.

You can add any icon to name, description, or "logo" of the blueprint with ease, even with in-game tools (most of the time) -- I used it a lot, so nothing special here (probably).
Fulgora is the best planet. Vulcanus needs rework. Feel free to prove me wrong.

Thanks for the report. The blueprint icons are actually SignalIDs internally and do not use the "chat icon"s.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.
