[2.0.23][switch] Loading games saved with Factorio 1.1.x fail

I updated to Factorio 2.0 yesterday on my Nintendo Switch, and since that I cannot load any saved games from before the update. See the screenshot for the full error message.

Is there anything I can do as a Switch-only player? I don't have access to the raw savefile or anything like that, right?

I would imagine there are some unofficial methods to access files on the switch and copy them to a pc. The only other way would be to host the save on the switch and transfer it to a pc that way, but that would require you to roll back to 1.1 to be able to load the file and I don't know if you can do that on the switch.

I don't think there is a way to access files outside rooting the device, and AFAIK rooting is not possible on recent enough devices.

Downgrading does not seem to be easily doable either (need a second Switch with that older version). And transferring it to PC would also mean I need to buy another copy of the game.

So to summarize, this is quite bad for Switch players.

Can you not transfer the save file to the switch's sd-card and then load the card in a pc?

There is no official way to get save files from the console unfortunately.
But there is a mechanism to upload your game's save data to me and I can attempt to fix your save.
